You must have a payment processor setup before you can start using ThinkReservations. This is because ThinkReservations uses the payment processor to validate the credit card information. Proper validation is required before a reservation can me made online, regardless of your deposit policy.
To setup Heartland:Contact Heartland Payment Systems to inquire about setting up an account. Please forward on the name and contact information for your Heartland representative to ThinkReservations support so we can assist in getting your account properly setup. Once we have that information we can verify that Heartland has everything they need from you and that your account is setup and connected in ThinkReservations. Once your account has been configured properly in ThinkReservations you will be able to take credit card payments and online reservations.
To setup Authorize.netSign up for Authorize.net's Payment Gateway service through your payment processor or directly from Authorize.net's website. Please note that this is a fee-based service from Authorize.net. Typically this is a monthly fee and a per transaction fee. Sometimes these fees are covered in part or in full by your payment processor.
It's important to note that you will want an E-Commerce account to accept card-not-present transactions.
Once your account has been approved and setup, reach out to ThinkReservations support so we can connect your account to ThinkReservations. Once your account has been properly setup in ThinkReservations you will then be able to accept credit card payments and online reservations.
