As a staff member or innkeeper, using the Calendar is a quick and efficient way of making a reservation, especially if you have the customer on the phone.
To make a reservation with the Calendar, follow the steps below:
1.) Make sure you are logged into ThinkReservations. View the Calendar by clicking on Calendar in the black bar at the top of ThinkReservations. You can also click anywhere on the white "ThinkReservations" logo at the top.
2.) Navigate through the Calendar to the date you would like to make the reservation.
3.) There are two simple ways to select the room(s) and date(s) on the Calendar. The first way is to click inside the block that intersects with the room name and the Check In date. Click again inside any other blocks the coincide with your guest's reservation. The second way is to click and hold on the box that intersects the room name and the Check In date. Drag your mouse to the right and let it go once you have the correct number of nights. You should see a gray box has appeared with a yellow outline. Repeat this step if you want to book multiple rooms at once. You can adjust the length of stay at this step by dragging the left or right edges of the box. If you need to clear your selection, click Clear Selection.
4.) Click on the green Make Reservation button at the top right of the Calendar to make the reservation.
5.) You will be taken to the reservation or "Bill" page. At this point, you will add the customer information, retain the customer's credit card, process a deposit is needed, and send out the confirmation email to the customer.
If you need to modify the number of guests or pets in the room, click the small arrow ▾ to the right of the Check In button to edit the details. Click Save Room when done.

Create the reservation from scratch:
To turn an empty bill into a room reservation, we can add rooms to the bill. To do so, follow the steps below.
1.) Make sure you are logged into ThinkReservations.
2.) At the top right of ThinkReservations, click on the button that says, "New Bill." This will create an empty bill for you.
Typically you would use the New Bill button when you sell a gift certificate or other item to someone who doesn't already have a reservation.
3.) To add a room to this bill, click on the gear icon next to the Confirmation ID and select Add Room
4.) Put in your correct Check In and Check Out dates and click on Check Availability
5.) Once it is done loading, find the room you would like to add to the reservation and click on the Add to Reservation button.
6.) At this point, you will add the customer information, retain the customer's credit card, process a deposit is needed, and send out the confirmation email to the customer.
