ThinkReservations sends information to connected OTAs, which, in turn, sends information to ThinkReservations. This article specifies the information being communicated.
Generally speaking, ThinkReservations sends rates, restrictions, and availability to the OTAs, and the OTAs send reservations and reservation changes.

Airbnb
Airbnb is connected differently than the other OTA, and they allow for some additional settings to be controlled from ThinkReservations.

What is not communicated from ThinkReservations to the OTAs
This is not an exhaustive list. The channel manager only sends rates, restrictions, and availability, and nothing else. Our connection with Airbnb offers some exceptions to this.
- Cancellation Policies
- Cancel or No Show Status change made in ThinkReservations
- You or the guest must cancel via the OTA.
- Reservation changes made in ThinkReservations
- You or the guest must update via the OTA.
- Deposit or prepayment policy
- The amount charged to the card should match the policy you have with the OTA to avoid upset guests.
- Rates for children
- Additional guest fees for adults are communicated, but not for children.
- Occupancy settings
- Maximum occupancy for rooms
- Children and adult occupancy age settings
- Promotions
- Promotions in ThinkReservations are not sent to the OTAs, but promotional pricing on the OTA bookings will
- Minimum notice for reservations (except Airbnb)
- Maximum notice for reservations (except Airbnb)
- Any setting found in our Booking Engine settings page
- These settings only apply to the ThinkReservations online booking engine.
- Content or photos for rooms or your property
- Items or add-ons
- Do not put items on the rate type that are not also set up with the OTA. Adding items to the rate type also causes issue with Expedia Collect reservations, so it's not recommended.
- Taxes
- Make sure they match, and are broken down the same way.
- Reservation policies (like arrival time, etc.)
- Property policies (like smoking policy, etc.)
- Meal Plan
- If you charge for Breakfast, you can set this up on Booking.com and it will be entered correctly on the reservation in ThinkReservations.
