Meta Pixel

The Meta Pixel, formerly the Facebook Pixel, is an analytics tool that helps you measure how effective your Facebook ad campaigns are by monitoring the actions people take on your website using a piece of code that tracks events on page views. The pixel receives these actions or events, which you can view on your Meta Pixel page in Events Manager. To learn more about Meta Pixel and how to use it, refer to Facebook's support documentation here.

There are several options for how to set up your pixel and events, and you’ll be guided through the available options during setup on Facebook. Get started with the Meta Pixel by following Facebook's instructions on how to set up and install the Meta Pixel on your website here. If you choose to set up your pixel or events manually, your website developer can assist you by adding the appropriate code to your own website.

You won't need to install any code to use Meta Pixel with ThinkReservations. Configuring the Pixel with ThinkReservations is simple: add your Pixel ID in Settings -> Business Settings.  Once that is set up, Facebook will be able to track conversions and help you better understand your return on investment.

  1. Navigate to Events Manager in your Facebook account.

  2. Find your Pixel ID and note it.

  3. Add the Pixel ID into ThinkReservations. In ThinkReservations, navigate to Settings → Business Settings. At the bottom of this page, enter your Pixel ID.

  1. Click Save at the bottom when done.

After installing the Meta Pixel on your website, you can use the event setup tool to add events and parameters to your website. Events are actions people take on your website.  Parameters will provide more detail about those actions taken.
