8/16/23 - New "adjust" modal. You can now edit line items on reservations by percentages/amounts or set to fixed price. You can do this to one or multiple items at once.

7/31/23 - New Reservation Search page. This improved results page includes a column for reservation balance.

7/31/23 - ThinkMessenger Survey Templates now support delays. The default has been set to 15 seconds to feel more human for your guests. Configure this in Settings > Survey Templates.

7/31/23 - "New Reservation" modal and the "Add Room" modal have improved logic when managing Staff Only rates. A Staff Only rate will only show up if you choose "Staff Only" option in the "Special Rates" dropdown, so the results more closely match the booking engine.

7/31/23 - Rate Types in settings now includes a new column for "Qualifier" to easily see which rates are for All Guests, Promotional Code, Customer Group, or Staff Only.

7/31/23 - Digital Registration supports a new toggle to “Require T&C and Cancellation Policy”. *The functionality will be deployed later this week.

7/28/23 - Improvements to RemoteLock functionality.

New Navigation Menu available to all users

It's official, the Old Navigation is now retired

Today, our Old Navigation Menu clocked out for the last time. Starting today, our New Navigation Menu provides a more sleek, mobile friendly design, easy access to tasks, help/support center and messages to all ThinkReservation customers. Your account is already displaying the current navigation menu iteration and no action is required.

The New Navigation is designed to be mobile-friendly and responsive. It adjusts each page to the size of the screen on your device to create an optimized interface for use on that device. But not to worry - if you prefer to manually zoom in & out on your calendar, the mobile friendly element can still be disabled in your settings.

To choose your view, you'll simply head to Settings --> Feature Flags. where you can choose between the two options.

Introducing two new features: Digital Registration + Broadcast

Dear ThinkReservations Customers,

We’re all excited to announce the launch of our new Digital Registration and Broadcast features for your business! Both features are designed to help hoteliers improve the guest experience and increase efficiency.

Introducing Digital Registration

With Digital Registration, your guests can register for arrival to your property online, to speed up their check in process, on any smartphone, tablet  or desktop. This gives guests flexibility to register at their convenience and reduces the need for wait time and lines at the front desk. Unveiling your Broadcast feature

The All-New Broadcast feature allows ThinkMessenger users to send messages to all of your guests at once. This is a great way to communicate important information, such as changes to check-in procedures, weather alerts or events - activities that may be relevant to guests on a specific date, while also being able to enhance their stay with personalization. Streamlined Workflow and Improved Efficiency: ThinkReservations' New Updates

  1. Introducing No Show Status: We have implemented a new "No Show" status for reservations. This status will be reflected within the reservation details and reports, such as the arrivals report and front desk page. It allows you to easily identify and track reservations that have been marked as no shows. Please note that this status does not impact the reservation calendar, as the reservations will still be displayed but with a new question mark symbol icon (if enabled) for quick identification.
  2. Expanded Customer Search Functionality: We have enhanced the customer search functionality by adding more search parameters. You can now search for customers based on City, State, Postal Code, and Phone Number. Additionally, we have updated the search field to display these new options, making it easier for you to find specific customer information quickly and efficiently.
  3. Task Rules for Item Due Dates: In response to your feedback, we have made updates to our Item Task Rules feature. You can now set up rules where the task is due immediately upon the item being added to the bill. This enhancement ensures that the necessary tasks are promptly assigned and addressed, improving your operational efficiency and ensuring timely completion of important tasks.

Boosting Productivity and Guest Satisfaction: Explore our upgraded features


  1. Control Default Occupancy for availability search: You now have the ability to control the default occupancy in the booking engine. This feature allows you to customize the default number of guests on your booking engine search page according to your specific requirements, providing a more personalized and seamless booking experience for your guests.
  2. "Exactly" Option in Advanced Booking Settings within Promotions: We have added an "Exactly" option in the Advanced booking setting dropdown within the Promotions feature. This enhancement offers you more flexibility and precision in configuring your promotional offers, ensuring they align perfectly with your promotional strategies. 
  3. Restrict Rate Adjustments with promotions: We understand the need for greater control over promotional rates. With this update, you can now restrict promotional rate adjustments for specific days of the week. This feature provides you with increased control and helps you manage your rates more effectively.

6/21/23 - Completed project updating booking engine to show additional information about texting for clients who use ThinkMessenger.

6/19/23 - Users and permissions only apply to one account. Now linked user accounts can have discrete permissions per property they have access to.

6/18/23 - Fixed issue with mobile booking engine images being sporadically cropped/zoomed-in for some images

  1. Updated Folios Tab: We have revamped the Folios tab to provide a smoother user experience. Now, when you navigate to the Folios tab, the focus will automatically be set on the first folio, allowing you to quickly access the relevant information without any additional clicks. This improvement will save you valuable time and streamline your workflow.

  2. Print Button in View Email Mode: we have added a Print button to the view email mode on the History tab. Now, when viewing emails related to reservations, you can conveniently print them with a single click. This feature will simplify your record-keeping process and enable you to maintain a physical copy whenever necessary.

  3. Print Button on Front Desk Page: To further enhance your printing capabilities, we have introduced a new print button on the Front Desk Page. This addition aims to improve your efficiency during guest interactions and streamline your operations.

  4. Improved Groups Page Loading Speeds: We understand the importance of a smooth and swift reservation management process, especially when dealing with group bookings. We have optimized the Groups page loading speeds, resulting in significantly improved performance. You will notice a noticeable decrease in the loading time, enabling you to manage group reservations more efficiently and provide a seamless experience to your guests.

  4. Expanded Tax Details: In response to your feedback, we have updated the booking engine to include an "expand" option for Taxes, which is now called Taxes and Fees. This enhancement allows you to view individual line items instead of just the total amount, giving you better visibility and understanding of the tax breakdown for each reservation.

6/8/23 - Personalized variable ${folio.itemized_folio} now displays quantities (specific to print templates).


5/17/23 - Bug fix for: GHA settings page not saving campaign configuration for both cost-per-click and cost-per-stay (beta).

5/16/23 - We now notify user by email when a guest completes their digital registration form (similar to how we do for upsell portal purchases) (beta)

5/6/23 - Fixed bug where check-in and check-out buttons weren't appearing on reservations.

4/30/23 - Created a No Show status for reservations. This doesn't impact anything other than the "status" listed within the reservation and on reports (arrivals report, front desk page, etc). It does not impact the calendar, but we do have a new icon which is a question mark symbol that appears on the res (if those icons are enabled for the account) on the calendar.

4/21/23 - Fixed bug where upsell portal wasn't showing item/package images.

4/20/23 - Changed Sort Order on Packages settings page to Alphabetical by Name to match the logic with Items.

4/20/23 - Changed "Name" to "Property Name" in Business Settings page.

4/20/23 - Adjusted wording in Action Drop Down in an individual reservation. Cancel Bill is now "Cancel Reservation".

4/20/23 - Changed "Cancel Bill" to "Cancel Group Reservation" in Action dropdown on Groups page.

4/20/23 - Changed wording in options dropdown on group reservations to say Edit Group Name instead of just Edit to clarify what the action actually is.
